User How to: Checking voicemail off campus 

  1. From any off-campus phone dial 254-968-1602 

  1. Enter ID (work extension) followed by the pound sign 

  1. Enter your 6-digit PIN followed by the pound sign 

  1. Follow prompts as needed to listen to unheard voicemails or saved voicemails 

  1. If you are unsure if you have a voicemail account or need your PIN reset, contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885 or submit a service request at https://services.tarleton.edu 

 

User How to: PIN Reset 

To reset your voicemail PIN please go to https://unityconnection-1.tarleton.edu/inbox/ 

  1. Copy the link above into Firefox or Google Chrome to access the voicemail portal 

  1. Enter your network (NTNET) credentials for access 

  1. If you are unable to log in go ahead and contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885 or submit a service request at https://services.tarleton.edu   

  1. Select Settings 

  1. Select Passwords 

  1. Select Change PIN 

  1. Enter new (6) digit PIN and Confirm 

  1. Click Save 

 

User How-to: Voicemail to email  

 

 User How-to: Change your greeting from a desk phone 

*Follow these steps for setting your standard greeting (no expiration date), holiday greeting (follows the University holiday schedule, or an alternate greeting (temp greeting with an expiration date). 

  1. Select the Voicemail icon on your desk phone 

  1. Enter your Enter your 6-digit PIN followed by the pound sign 

  1. Press 4 for setup options 

  1. Press 1 to change greeting 

  1. Follow prompts as needed 

  1. If you are unsure if you have a voicemail account or need your PIN reset, contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885 or submit a service request at https:/services.tarleton.edu 

 

User How-to: Change your greeting from an off-campus phone 

*Follow these steps for setting your standard greeting (no expiration date), holiday greeting (follows the University holiday schedule, or an alternate greeting (temp greeting with an expiration date). 

  1. From any off-campus phone dial 254-968-1602

User How-to: Change your standard greeting from voicemail portal 

  1. Please go to this link https://unityconnection-1.tarleton.edu/inbox/ or copy the link above into Firefox or Google Chrome to access the voicemail portal 

  1. Enter your network (NTNET) credentials for access 

  1. If you are unable to log in go ahead and contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885 or submit a service request ticket at https://services.tarleton.edu 

  1. Once signed into the portal, select Settings, Greetings, View Greetings 

  1. Click Standard and toggle whether you want to record from your computer or an on-campus phone. If using a phone, enter in the four-digit extension you would like to record on, and the system will call you and proceed to record the greeting.

  1. After completing your recording, you can playback the recording before clicking Save or re-record if needed. 

 

 

User How-to: Change your alternate (temporary) greeting from voicemail portal 

  1. Please go to this link https://unityconnection-1.tarleton.edu/inbox/ or copy the link above into Firefox or Google Chrome to access the voicemail portal 

  1. Enter your network (NTNET) credentials for access 

  1. If you are unable to log in go ahead and contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885 or submit a service request at https://services.tarleton.edu 

  1. Once signed into the portal, select Settings, Greetings, View Greetings 

  1. Select Enable on the left of Alternate and click save. Next click Alternate.

  1. Make sure to select whether you want there to be an end date or not. Toggle whether you want to record from your computer or an on-campus phone. If using a phone, enter in the four-digit extension you would like to record on, and the system will call you and proceed to record the greeting.

User How-to: Change your alternate (temporary) greeting from voicemail portal 

  1. Please go to this link https://unityconnection-1.tarleton.edu/inbox/ or copy the link above into Firefox or Google Chrome to access the voicemail portal 

  1. Enter your network (NTNET) credentials for access 

  1. If you are unable to log in go ahead and contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885 or submit a service request at https://services.tarleton.edu 

  1. Once signed into the portal, select Settings, Greetings, View Greetings 

  1. Click Checkmark Enable on the left of Holiday and click save. Next click Holiday.

  1. Make sure to select whether you want there to be an end date or not. Remember that this does follow the Universities’ holiday schedule if clicking “Enable until.” Toggle whether you want to record from your computer or an on-campus phone. If using a phone, enter in the four-digit extension you would like to record on, and the system will call you and proceed to record the greeting.

Admin How-to: Voicemail to Email 

This setting should already be configured for each new user that is imported into Unity, but follow the steps for updates or troubleshooting 

  1. Go to https://10.1.8.12/cuadmin/home.do 

  1. Sign in with your NTNET credentials. Must be an admin user to access the system. 

  1. Drop down the Users section and click Users, then search by either last name, first name, or four-digit extension and select the user by clicking their alias (username). 

  1. Select Edit then Unified Messaging Accounts

  1. Confirm there is an Office 365 account and click Office 365 

 

 

Admin How-to: Change User’s greetings 

  • We ask that the customer follow the steps listed above for changing their own greeting, we do not record/change greetings for users.

*This extension is not to be shared publicly but can be accessed by anyone from an on-campus phone.* 

  1. Dial ext. 6009 from an on-campus phone 

  1. Follow prompts

Admin How-to: PIN Reset 

  1. Go to https://10.1.8.12/cuadmin/home.do 

  1. Sign in with your NTNET credentials. Must be an admin user to access the system. 

  1. Drop down the Users section and click Users, then search by either last name, first name, or four-digit extension and select the user by clicking their alias (username). 

  1. Click Edit, Change Password, and enter in a six-digit password that is not trivial (typically the date works).  

  1. Next go to Password Settings and checkmark “User Must Change at Next Sign-In” and click Save. 

  1.  If the system prompts that the password has been used already, please use a different PIN. Birthdays, anniversaries, etc. are great options to recommend to the user.
