Body
All Tarleton students, faculty and staff are provided a file storage location known as the T: drive
What is the T: drive?
The T: drive is accessible on any Tarleton computer and has around 1GB storage space. This allows students, faculty and staff to save documents at any Tarleton computer and then open the same document at any other Tarleton computer.
Limitations of the T: drive
While the T: drive is a convenient resource for saving documents on a Tarleton classroom, lab or office computer, there are limitations to consider:
- The T: drive is automatically mapped on Tarleton Windows computers as drive letter T, but it does not appear on macOS computers.
- The T: drive storage limit is 1GB. In comparison, your OneDrive storage limit is 5TB. This means your OneDrive has roughly 5,000 times more storage than the T: drive.
- The T: drive is not automatically mapped on your home Windows computer.
- The T: drive is not accessible via the web. It always requires VPN when away from the campus network.
