Verify Identity Using Verification PIN

Verify a user's identity using the Verification PIN that is stored in Active Directory.

When receiving a call from a user requesting account assistance, that user will be required to verify their identity by providing their unique Verification PIN.

Verifying Clients Identity

1. Client calls Client Services/TAMU OC for account assistance
2. The technician will ask the client for their NTNET.
3. Go to https://texanlookup.tarleton.edu and look up that account.
4. Check to see if they already have a Verification PIN setup.
   • If they have a Verification PIN
     1. Ask them to verify their identity by telling you their 6-digit account verification PIN.
     2. Verify that it matches what is in Texan Lookup and continue assisting the client.
   • If they have a Verification PIN but do not remember it
     1. Have them go to the following site to setup their Verification PIN
        • https://verifyme.tarleton.edu
     2. Once completed, refresh the user search by searching for the user again
     3. Ask them to verify their identity by telling you their 6-digit account verification PIN they just setup.
     4. Verify that it matches what is in Texan Lookup and continue assisting the client.
   • If they do not have a Verification PIN
     1. Have them go to the following site to setup their Verification PIN
        • https://verifyme.tarleton.edu
     2. Once completed, refresh the user search by searching for the user again
     3. Ask them to verify their identity by telling you their 6-digit account verification PIN they just setup.
     4. Verify that it matches what is in Texan Lookup and continue assisting the client.
