How to Access ArcGIS Pro Named User Licensing

ArcGIS licensing has transitioned to a Named User Licensing model. When accessing ArcGIS whether on a lab computer or via the web at tarleton-state.maps.arcgis.com, you will be required to log in to obtain the new license. 

Step 1: Open ArcGIS Pro

Search for and open ArcGIS Pro on your computer. 

Step 2: Existing License Option

You will view the existing licensing option. 

Step 3: Named User License

Use the drop down menu to select 'Named User License' and click OK.  If you need assistance, please contact the Service Desk at 254-968-9885.  

Step 4: Organizational URL

Type in our organizational URL into the 'ArcGIS Online' option and click OK. https://tarleton-state.maps.arcgis.com/

Step 5: Login Options

At this stage, you will be presented with two login options. 

• Tarleton Login: Users who do not have an ArcGIS organizational account will select this option. 
• 'ArcGIS login': Users with pre-existing organizational login. This login may differ from your Tarleton username. 

Step 6a: Pre-Existing Users - ArcGIS Login

To use a pre-existing organizational account, click the drop-down arrow next to ArcGIS login and expand the ArcGIS login text box. 

Step 6b: Pre-Existing Users - ArcGIS Login (Continued)

Enter your pre-existing organizational account and password here and then click 'Sign In'. 

Step 7: New Users - Tarleton Login

Users who do not have a pre-existing organizational account, click 'Tarleton Login' and follow the on-screen instructions using your username@tarleton.edu account. 

Step 8:

You have successfully completed the process and can now access ArcGIS Pro.
