Body

Once your device is on Windows 11, your device will have a new option to run certain applications with administrator privileges. This is part of the Elevated Privilege Management (EPM) system. Here's how it works:

Requesting Elevated Access

  1. Right-Click on the Application:

    • If you need to run a program with administrator privileges, simply right-click the application and select “Run with elevated access.”Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  4. Wait for Approval:

    • SOC will review your request and either approve or deny it.
    • You will receive an email notifying you of the decision.
    • If your request is approved, you will be able to run the program with administrator rights for 24 hours. You will also get a notification on your device once the approval has synced.

Regular Use of Certain Applications

  • If you need to run a specific application with admin privileges frequently (like multiple times a week), SOC may allow it to always run with elevated access without needing to request approval each time.
