Select Courses to show on the Canvas Dashboard
The Course Favorite list controls which classes appear on the Canvas dashboard.
- Once a selection is made, only those classes will show on the dashboard from that point on. If an individual is added to new courses, the new courses must be selected to show on the dashboard.
- You can do this on a laptop/desktop or on the canvas app.
- Instructors can control whether a class is accessible to students and may prevent individual courses from being shown.
- Courses in future or past terms may not be able to be selected for showing on the dashboard.

The following steps are used to select which courses show on the dashboard.
On a laptop/desktop:
- From the main menu, select Courses, then All courses
- Mark the star next to classes that should show on the dashboard
On the Canvas app:
- On the home screen, find All Courses in the top right corner
- Then star the classes you want on the dashboard
