How to Prepare for Nursing Sim

A step-by-step guide for simulation instructors to setup the Stephenville campus Simulation Lab for use.

Manikin

1. Press the power button located on the manikin's right side.

        

Document Station

1. On the document computer, click the "OK" button.
2. Computer should automatically log in and load the ATI login screen.

• ATI login shortcut on the desktop if needed.

Patient Monitor

1. Once the manikin says “Simulator Started”, tap the “OK” button on the Patient Monitor computer. The computer will automatically log in.
2. Laerdal Patient Monitor software will load automatically.
3. Tap the “Network Icon”.

   

4.  Tap the “Wi-Fi Selector”.

   

5. Tap “SE3” and then tap "Connect".

        

6. If the computer doesn’t automatically switch to the Patient Monitor screen, select SE3 from the choices in the box in the center of the screen.

   

7. You will see this screen when everything is done correctly.

   

Control Room

1. Click “OK” on both screens.
2. Learning Space will open on the Left screen and the ATI login page will open on the Right screen. The LLEAP control software will open on the Center screen.

   

Learning Space (Left Screen)

1. Log in to Learning Space.
2. Click the “Recording” button.

   

3. Make sure the “Stephenville Sim Lab (7)” tab is selected.

   

4. Click on the numbers in the title of the room you want to access.

   

5. You will see the camera feeds for that room.

LLEAP Control Software (Center Screen)

1. Click “Automatic Mode”.

   

2. On the left, scroll down to the “Local Content” section. Check to see if the scenario name is here.

   

3. If not, the scenario will be in the cohort folder in the “My Scenarios” section above.  Select the scenario from the list and click “OK”.

   

4. Click “Skip” if you see the “Prime Fluids” message.

   

5. Click “Edit before starting”.

   

    

6. Click the “talk” button in the bottom right corner and make sure it is green.

   

7. Check that the ”Speak” button in the “Voice Conference Application” is green. If not, click the button to make it green. Minimize the window, don’t close it.

   

ATI Login (Right Screen)

1. Log in to ATI using your Tarleton credentials.
2. If the ATI page doesn’t load automatically, open a new web browser tab and type in “atitesting.tarleton.edu” to access the ATI login page.
