Gain temporary administrator rights on your Tarleton issued computer via the Make Me Admin application.

Beginning March 6, 2023, Tarleton State University will no longer configure office computers with administrative access for the assigned user. However, temporary admin privileges can be provided through Make Me Admin.
Request the installation of Make Me Admin on your macOS or Windows computer.
Using the Make Me Admin application (Windows)
Once your ticket request for access to MakeMeAdmin is approved, the application will be made available on your Windows machine.
Once the application is launched, the following window will be displayed:
There are two options:
Grant Me Administrator Rights – This option grants admin privileges for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes have passed, your account permissions will revert to standard user privileges. If you need to have administrator permissions for longer than 30 minutes, simply repeat this option. There is no limit on how often you can request administrator privileges using this option.

Remove My Administrator Rights – If the need for temporary administrator rights has been resolved, you can remove your administrator rights before the 30-minute timeout.
Using the Make Me Admin application (macOS)
Once your request for access to MakeMeAdmin is approved, the application will be made available on your macOS machine via the Self Service application. Search for Self Service in Launchpad.
Launch the Self Service application. The application menu will appear.
In the Utilities group, find Make Me Admin and click on Run. The following window will appear.
Click on Run to activate the service.
Click the Continue button to start the 30 minute administrative rights timer.
You now have 30 minutes of administrative rights in which to complete the necessary task(s).
