How do I use the Service Catalog to submit a service request, report an issue, or submit a ticket?

Welcome to the ITS Service Desk. The Service Catalog is where all the requestable services that ITS provides to faculty, staff, and students are located. These services include assistance with getting connected to wireless, reporting an issue, downloading software, and more. 

Using the Service Catalog/Submit a Ticket

  1. Navigate to the ITS Service Desk in your web browser. Then access the Service Catalog by clicking on the Request a Service button on the home page or by clicking Services in the navigation bar. 


     
  2. From the Service Catalog page, you will see a list of categories which you can browse to view our available Services. Each category is named according to the type of service(s) it contains with a short description as to what is in each category. Some categories have sub-categories with additional services. 


     
  3. Browse to a particular service you would like to request, click on the service to see its contents and request the service/submit a ticket. 


     
  4. After you've read through the service and decided you would like to request it, click on the Request Service button. Depending on the service, this button may display something different such as "Report Issue", "Submit a Ticket", etc.


     
  5. Complete the requested fields, and click on Request button at the bottom of the form to complete your request (aka ticket) to the Service Desk. 
  6. You will receive a confirmation email with your ticket details.

Reviewing Ticket Requests/Submitted Tickets

To view your ticket requests:

  • Click on Services in the navigation bar
  • Then Ticket Requests in the options menu.
  • This view provides you with - 
    • ID (your ticket number)
    • Title of your ticket
    • Status of your ticket
