To Install the Respondus Lockdown Browser, the client will first need to sign into their Canvas account on the device they would like to use.
Once they have signed in, there will be a Help option on the bottom left hand side of the home page on the banner
When they click on the Help option, there will be a list of resources. Select the one that says Respondus Lock Down Browser Download
You will be taken to a different page, make sure that they click the Download button
Click on the download icon on the top right to see the installation
Follow the prompts, and choose the following options (in order):
English (United States) , Next >
I accept the terms of the license agreement, Next >
Finish
The application should now be on your computer, it should look like this:
Make sure that all of the other search engines are closed (unless they installed Respondus as an extension)
Open the Lockdown Browser
Have them sign into Canvas with their NTNET account
Once they sign in, then it should look like their regular Canvas dashboard. Have them navigate to the test they are trying to take, and select it
The test will open and prompt a pop-up page for them to test their microphone and camera
Once it has been approved, have them proceed with the test taking
