For accessing your Tarleton email and calendar on your Android, we recommend using Microsoft's Outlook app. This guide will walk you through setting up Outlook on your Android phone.
Download Outlook | Set Up Outlook | Outlook Settings
Download Microsoft Outlook for Android
On your Android phone, open Play Store.
Tap on Search at the bottom.
In the search field at the top, type in "outlook".
Find Microsoft Outlook.
It is usually the second item listed, with the first item being an ad. Be sure you are downloading "Microsoft Outlook" only.
Tap Install and follow the phone's instructions to complete the download.
If you see an Open button, that means you already have Microsoft Outlook installed. You can tap Open and proceed to the setup steps below.
Close the Play Store, find the Outlook app, and tap on it to open.
Set Up Microsoft Outlook for Android
After opening Microsoft Outlook, tap on Add Account.
Enter your Tarleton email address.
Select Work or School Account.
Continue logging in as prompted.
If the two-digit code for Microsoft Authenticator comes up, then the prompt to enter that same code will appear a few seconds later. You'll need to memorize the code, as going to Microsoft Authenticator to enter it will block the Outlook window.
At Add Another Account, tap Maybe Later.
Enable (or not) notifications as you wish.
Microsoft Outlook Settings
Tap on your account icon in the upper left.
Tap on the gear icon in the bottom left to get into Settings.
The more noteworthy settings are:
- Display & Appearance - Change the look inside the app.
- Signature - Add your email signature for email sent from your phone. You can copy/paste your own signature from an email you're already sent.
- Notifications - Set up default notification settings for email and calendar events.
- Mail - Can turn off Focused Inbox if you prefer a traditional inbox organization. And can set the newest emails to be at the bottom or the top.
Feel free to explore other options in Settings.
