This guide will serve as a digital tutorial on how to use your Windows laptop with the Windows key + P to change your display options from duplicate to extended display in instructional technology rooms.
To Get Started:
First you will need to connect your Windows laptop to the laptop cable provided in most instructional technology spaces.
- This will usually come in the form of a HDMI cable on a instructional cart of table
Next you will do the following to change your display settings shown on your local (laptop) and extended monitor (projector or other display).
- Press the Windows key + P to bring up the Project device options.
- From here you can choose how you would like to use your multiple displays connection
- You can adjust these settings anytime by pressing the Windows key + P again
