This guide goes over setting up Priority Alerts in Webex, allowing you to set a distinct ringtone based on specific criteria, such as time, phone number type, or individual contacts.
Priority Alerts allows your phone to use a distinct ringtone when one or more of these options are met:
- Time/days
- Type of phone number (internal, external)
- Specific phone numbers
It is similar to customizing the ringtone on your smartphone for specific contacts, though there is only one distinct ringtone available.
Turn On Priority Alerts
Navigate to https://user.webex.com/
Log in with your Tarleton email address and password as prompted.

Click "Settings"

Click "Calling"

Click "Call settings"

Scroll down to "Priority alert"
Turn on "Priority alert"

Click "Apply schedule"

Click Schedule to change it from "Every Day All Day" to a schedule you've created.

To use a custom schedule, you must create it before setting up selectively forward calls. See the
Add Schedules in Webex guide for more details.
Select your custom schedule or leave it on "Every Day All Day"

Click "Calls from" to filter which calls you want to receive a priority alert.

Keep it on "Any phone number" to be alerted of all calls during your set schedule. Or go with "Select phone numbers" to filter alerts.

Under "Select phone numbers" you can filter by private numbers (non-Tarleton), unavailable numbers, or specific numbers.

If entering multiple specific phone numbers, click "Add number" after each entry.
Select whether this schedule is to notify you or not. Then click "Apply"

You can pinpoint your alert filters by creating multiple schedules using the same time period, but different "Calls from" options. Set up a "Don't alert" group to catch phone numbers which slip through that you do not want to be alerted about.
Once a schedule has been added, it'll be listed under either "Alert" or "Don't alert"

Turn Off Priority Alerts
Log into https://user.webex.com/ again and go to Settings > Calling > Call settings > Priority alert
To turn off Priority Alerts entirely, disable it.

To edit or delete a schedule, click "More options"

Then click "Edit" or "Delete"

If you delete all schedules, then "Priority alert" will automatically be switched off.
