Autodesk & Educational Licenses

Autodesk software is used for 3D design in architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and media/entertainment.

Free access to their professional software (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, Maya, etc.) is available to Tarleton students, faculty, and staff for educational purposes.

  • Students: Enrolled students can obtain free one-year licenses (renewable annually) for learning, research, and academic projects.
  • Faculty: Free licenses available for teaching, research, and professional development.
  • Staff: Eligible if using software for teaching, training, or research. Staff performing administrative, non-academic projects, or operational tasks (e.g., facilities planning) require commercial licenses.

Classroom & Lab Computers

ITS maintains Autodesk installations for student use in classrooms and labs. These are separate from individual educational licenses and not for office or personal work.
