How to Login to Canvas

Directions for logging into Tarleton's Canvas system.  These instructions are intended for all Faculty, Students, and Staff with Canvas access.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be met before accessing the Canvas system.

1. Users must have a current Tarleton NTNET account
2. Users must have a current Canvas account.
   1. Instructors must be assigned as the instructor of record in Banner
   2. Students must be registered for a current class in Banner
   3. Staff may request access to Canvas by submitting a Canvas Account Request

Logging into Canvas from a Computer

Directions for logging into Canvas from a Windows, Mac, Chromebooks, or Tablet/Phone Browser.  These directions do not apply to logging in via the Canvas App.

1. Navigate to Tarleton’s main home page.

2. Click on the Login button at the top right corner of the page.
3. From the drop-down, select Canvas
4. Select the large purple button labeled “Tarleton NTNET Account.”
5. Enter your full Tarleton email address and select Next
6. Enter your NTNET password, then select Sign in
7. Compete DUO two-factor authentication if needed.
