Tarleton Wireless Access Overview

Tarleton-WiFi

Tarleton offers wireless network access (Tarleton-WiFi) inside campus administrative and academic buildings and in many outside common spaces. Coverage is provided for the convenience of our students, faculty, and staff. You may connect your personal devices, including your laptop or cell phone, to “Tarleton-WiFi" using your Tarleton login.

Student login information:

  • Username - your UID
  • Password - your Tarleton password

Faculty/Staff login information:

  • Username - your Tarleton username (does not include @tarleton.edu)
  • Password - your Tarleton password

Tarleton-Visitors

Visitors to campus may register for temporary wireless Internet access by selecting the "Tarleton-Visitors" network in device wireless settings. Visitors will be prompted to complete a registration form. A temporary username and password will be provided to the visitor during the registration process  

eduroam

Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure wireless network service that allows students, staff, and faculty member wireless network (Wi-Fi) access while visiting other Eduroam participating institutions. This service is available without having to set up a guest account.  Simply use your Tarleton network (NTNET) credentials anywhere you find the eduroam wireless network advertised. is an international Wi-Fi Internet access roaming service for users in research, higher education and further education. It provides researchers, teachers, and students network access when visiting an institution other than their own. Tarleton State University is an InCommon/eduroam member. If you have visitors from other universities, the eduroam wireless network is available (for visitors from participating institutions). Visitors from non-participating institutions should use the Tarleton-Visitors network. 

Faculty/Staff login information:

  • Username - your username @tarleton.edu (I.e jtarleton@tarleton.edu
  • Password - your Tarleton password

Student login information:

  • Username - your UID @tarleton.edu (i.e. 000121212@tarleton.edu)
  • Password - your Tarleton password

Visitor login information:

  • Username - your username @home Institution (i.e. jbills@tamu.edu)
  • Password - your password

Visitor Access to Eduroam

Visitors from other eduroam institutions should pre-configure their wireless device on their home network before connecting to the Tarleton State University’s eduroam network.  If you have already done that, connect directly to the eduroam wireless network and use your home institution's credentials to log in. Technical support for eduroam is provided by the home institution; visitors will need to call their home institution for technical assistance.

 

Tarleton-IoT

The Tarleton-IoT wireless network will provide wireless connectivity for the "Internet-of-Things" which may include cameras, smart-TVs, and other smart devices where a username and password login is not practical or possible. Learn how to register a device for use on Tarleton-IoT.
