Connecting Your Device to Tarleton

Tarleton Wi-Fi

Quick Start Instructions

If you have an iPhone or Samsung, you can connect to Tarleton-WiFi with your Tarleton NTNET account.

On your phone, open Settings.

Go to Wi-Fi/Network/Internet.

Select Tarleton-WiFi.

Enter your Tarleton username and password.

  • Students: Use your Tarleton UIN for the username.
  • Faculty & Staff: Enter the first part of your Tarleton email address.

Samsung only - Set the security setting based on what is presented. This can vary, depending on your version of Android OS. Only one of these settings should be present.

  • Anonymous Identity = -Leave Blank-
  • CA Certificate = Don't validate / (Unspecified) / Do Not Check
  • EAP Method = PEAP
  • Phase 2 Authentication = None

Microsoft Authenticator

Tarleton uses Microsoft Authenticator for multifactor authentication, helping protect accounts and transactions. It is required for all Tarleton accounts.

Tarleton Email

The recommended method for accessing your Tarleton email, calendar, and contacts is by using the Microsoft Outlook app. You'll need to have Microsoft Authenticator working first, as it is needed to log into Outlook the first time.

Quick Start Instructions

Open your phone's app store.

Search for "outlook".

Download Microsoft Outlook.

Once downloaded, open Microsoft Outlook.

Tap Add Account.

Select Work or School Account, if prompted.

Enter your Tarleton email address and password. Continue with logging in as prompted.
